A Birmingham product business is adding a firmware engineer to its connected devices team as volumes scale across European markets.
Battery life is the defining constraint, so this role rewards engineers who think carefully about power, timing and field reliability.
The opportunity
- Develop firmware in C for STM32 and Nordic targets.
- Optimise power consumption across sleep and radio duty cycles.
- Implement and validate BLE connectivity and OTA update.
- Investigate field returns and drive design improvements.
About you
- 3+ years of firmware development on microcontroller targets.
- Practical low-power design and measurement experience.
- Wireless connectivity experience, ideally BLE.
